Right Preschool For My Child By Ms. Richa Sinha

When discussing the right preschool for our children, it's common to wonder about the importance of various aspects. I have often been part of conversations like, “Which is the RIGHT preschool for my child” or “I am looking for the RIGHT preschool”.

Finding the RIGHT preschool for our child is a big decision. We may evaluate and choose the school for our child with an array of criterias like the school's location, well-trained and passionate teachers, educational philosophy and values, and a clean, safe, and secure atmosphere.

"What does RIGHT mean?"

Lots of times, we see programmes and preschools that are much more focused on the academic side of activities  rather than the true care and compassion for the children.

Children this age do not need to be in an environment that focuses heavily on academics. This is a time for them to spend exploring, being creative, and learning about who they are and how they fit in the world around them. This is a time when they need adults who support, celebrate, and believe them.

The partnership between educators and parents is foundational. It acknowledges that each child's learning journey is unique, and involving families ensures the best possible start in life.

In the journey of a child's education, the most vital aspects are parents and family. Parents and caregivers are not only the first but also the most influential teachers in a child's life. The partnership between educators and families is considered foundational. It's a collaborative effort that recognises that every child's learning journey is unique and that involving families as active participants ensures the best possible start in life. Does the preschool that you have selected provide the scope for you to participate in your child’s journey?

It is also important to recognise what we view as “success”. Do we view success as a child who can write all the words, read all the books, and do all the math correctly? or do we view it as a child who is kind, caring, generous, and who stands up for others?

Looking for the right preschool is like looking for the right partner who can nurture curious, confident, and capable learners who are ready to embrace the world's opportunities and challenges.

Tell us how you connect and partner with your child’s preschool and the role the preschool  plays in your child’s learning environment!
